Board of Elections


The Board of Elections generally supervises the conduct of the system of registration and all City elections.  



Members are appointed not less than 60 days prior to a City election, and serve terms lasting until 60 days after the election

2024 Mayor & Council Member Election Information

Seats for Mayor and three (3) Council Members will be up for election on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

The election will be held at the City Park Building - 655 East Potomac Street from 8am - 8pm.


Candidates Running for Election

Office of Mayor - Nathan Brown

Office of Council Member - John Caves, Eric Smothers, Carleah Summers, Lee Thomas-Palmer, Angel White


Voter Registration - If you are registered to vote in the State of Maryland and have a current Brunswick address on file with the Board of Elections, you are already registered to vote in a Brunswick City election.  If you need to register to vote or change your address, you must do so through the Frederick County Board of Elections by July 16, 2024 to be eligible to vote in the City election in August.


Absentee Ballots - Will be available in mid-July.  All registered voters will be mailed an absentee ballot application in June with specific instructions on how to request an absentee ballot.
