2025 Recycling & Yard Waste Schedule
- Recycling & yard waste materials may be dropped off at Public Works dumpster site (600 Petersville Road) any Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm.
- Senior citizens may contact City Hall to request free yard waste pick-ups.
- Additionally, the following Saturday events are available:

- Open to Brunswick & Rosemont residents. Proof of residency required.
- Acceptable materials include: Recycling – paper, glass, plastic, cardboard, metal; Yard Waste – leaves, grass clippings, plants, shrubs, trimmings no larger than 8’ long and 6” diameter
Curbside Pick-Up Yard Waste Events

- Items must be left curbside by 6am.
- Open to Brunswick residents only.
- No recycling may be left curbside during these events.
- Yard waste must be collected in paper lawn and leaf bags – available at most stores or at City Hall.
- Limbs must be cut to 4’ lengths and tied together with string or twine.

Curbside Pick-Up Bulk Trash Events
April 5, 2025
August 9, 2025
- Maximum of four (4) items per household.
- Items must be clearly labeled “Bulk Trash” (the City and J&J Trash are not responsible for items picked up that were left curbside accidentally such as bikes and ride-on toys).
- Items must be curbside by 6am or they will not be picked up.
- Acceptable curbside items include: grills, push mowers, bicycles, exercise equipment, couches & chairs, picnic tables, commodes, bathtubs, sinks, carpet (maximum 3 rolls), pianos, small chairs & tables, cabinets, dressers, bags of clothing, small appliances, small electronics including televisions, computer equipment, and radios, lawn furniture, large outdoor toys, kiddie pools, coolers, buckets, storage totes, plastic shelving, etc.

December 13, 2025
- Items must be dropped off at Public Works dumpster site (600 Petersville Road) between the hours of 8am-3pm.
- Proof of Brunswick residency required.
- Acceptable items include: grills, push mowers, bicycles, exercise equipment, couches & chairs, picnic tables, commodes, bathtubs, sinks, carpet (maximum 3 rolls), pianos, small chairs & tables, cabinets, dressers, bags of clothing, small appliances, small electronics including televisions, computer equipment, and radios, lawn furniture, large outdoor toys, kiddie pools, coolers, buckets, storage totes, plastic shelving, refrigerators & freezers, washer & dryers, wood stoves, water heaters & tanks, air conditioners, dehumidifiers/humidifiers, trash compactors, dishwashers, stoves & ovens, furnaces, batteries, tires ($3 each), mattresses & box springs ($28 each).
- Any item that contains propane tank/gas/oil must be removed prior to collection. If an item contains Freon, a tag stating Freon was removed must be supplied by a certified technician.
- Non-acceptable items include: construction & building materials, explosives & ammunition, yard waste, gasoline or oil, basketball poles, hazardous waste, dead animals, paint, fencing, propane tanks, feces, household trash, concrete materials, automobile parts, dirt, rocks, sod, cardboard, paper, books, and other single-stream recyclable materials.
