Fire hydrants are flushed every quarter to clean out the water mains and allow for an operational check of each individual hydrant. Residents can expect to experience low water pressure and discolored water while hydrants are being flushed in your area.

Hydrant Flushing
The City of Brunswick will begin fire hydrant flushing on Monday, March 17, 2025. We will begin in Zone 1 of the below map. Flushing in Zone 2 will begin on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Flushing in Zone 3 will begin on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Flushing in Zone 5 will begin on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
