Sewer Back-Ups

Sewer back-ups are a hassle for all involved.  If you suspect a sewer leak at your property, please contact City Hall at 301-834-7500 as soon as possible.  Public Works staff will be able to determine whether a sewer leak is located within the City's main line or on a homeowner's lateral line.  Sewer leaks located on private property are the responsibility of the homeowner.
