Date of Notice: December 8, 2025

Important Construction Closures – Effective December 15, 2025

Please note the following areas are closed to the public due to ongoing construction:

• Brunswick Sports Complex

• Rivers Edge Trailhead (next to the skate park)

• 13th Ave – Local traffic only permitted

Closure Timeline: Expected through late summer/fall 2026

This is an active construction site—please do NOT enter for your safety. New “Park Closed” signage will be installed soon. Please follow all posted signs and directions.

City of Brunswick – Resident Notification – Sports Complex Construction

Date of Notice: October 31, 2025

Parking Restrictions – Effective November 10, 2025

To facilitate construction activities, parking enforcement will be in effect on 13th Avenue:

  • Parking is prohibited on the non-resident side of 13th Avenue.
  • Residents must park only on the side adjacent to their homes.
  • Parking is also prohibited on either side of the gravel road at the end of 13th Avenue.

Contour Construction will be installing silt fencing along the non-resident side and placing all necessary “No Parking” signage.

Project Overview – What’s Coming Over the Next 12 Months
This transformative project will bring exciting new amenities and upgrades to our community, including:

  • Expanded parking areas and a new loop-road
  • A newly constructed multipurpose field
  • Conversion of the old radio station into a public restroom facility
  • Renovation of existing softball fields, including dugouts, bleachers, and scoreboards
  • A new concession stand, playground, and pickleball courts
  • Installation of field lighting, walking paths, and stormwater management systems

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work to enhance our shared spaces. These improvements will provide long-term benefits for residents of all ages and help foster a vibrant, active community. 

Please note that working hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (Weekend work may be permitted with prior City approval).
