Hometown Heroes Banner Program

The City of Brunswick, Maryland, offers the "Hometown Heroes" Banner Program to celebrate local veterans from all branches of the military—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. This initiative invites family members to honor their loved ones by displaying custom banners featuring the veteran's name and photo along East & West Potomac Street.​

Banners are ordered through Mercersburg Printing.

The cost for one banner is $120. This covers the cost of printing and shipping.

Banners will be hung prior to Memorial Day and will remain on display through the Annual Veterans Day Parade. 

Each banner will be 24"x36" in size.

A sharp, clear photo must also be included with submission as the image is enlarged considerably and must have high resolution.

The City of Brunswick is not responsible for lost or damaged banners and banners may continue to be hung as long as they are in good shape.  If banners are lost, damaged, or in disrepair, family members may be able to purchase additional banners during the open enrollment period.
