Brunswick's Official City Flag - Order Yours Today!
The City of Brunswick is proud to introduce its official city flag, a symbol of our community’s history, identity, and future. The flag was selected through a community-driven process that began with a public design contest established by the Mayor and Council on April 1, 2025. Residents were invited to submit original flag designs that reflected what makes Brunswick unique. A panel of judges reviewed the entries and selected three finalist designs, which were then presented to Brunswick residents for an online public vote.
The winning design,“Heritage with a View,” was created by Brunswick resident Scott McLean and received the most support from the community. Following the public vote, the Mayor and Council requested that feedback from residents be incorporated into the design, and revisions were made before the flag was officially adopted by resolution on March 24, 2026.
The new flag celebrates Brunswick’s rich railroad heritage, scenic landscape, and strong sense of community. It serves as a lasting symbol of civic pride and reflects the voices of residents who helped shape its creation through both the design contest and public voting process.
Residents can purchase the official City of Brunswick flag through City Hall while supplies last. Fly it proudly and help showcase the spirit of Brunswick throughout our community!
