The Community Development Team is housed at City Hall and comprised of Economic Development, Brunswick Main Street, Special Events, and Parks and Recreation.

We are nestled on the banks of the Potomac River in Frederick County Maryland, along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath, which connects Washington, DC to Cumberland, Maryland and on to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Activities abound for outdoor and train enthusiasts in Brunswick.  Canoe, kayak, float, swim, fish, camp or just relax in and around the Potomac River.  Hike, bike, walk, run, or simply enjoy nature on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath and nearby Appalachian Trail.  Train spot on the platform by the rails, see our historic caboose, and tour our vibrant heritage museum highlighting the City's long history as a railroad and canal town.  You'll find something for every member of the family in Brunswick.
