Brunswick Family Campground 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Kayak, canoe, fishing & water rescue demo’s, vessel safety checks, crafters,  pony rides, bike rides,  & dozens of exhibits by area organizations, outfitters & much more! Give-aways & door prizes. Fun for all ages.

 

Saturday, June 9    The Great Brunswick River Race

 

In conjunction with the Potomac River Family Festival.   Brunswick campground boat ramp.  Watch the crazy happenings on the Potomac River.  Boat entry categories include: homemade craft/ bathtub, cardboard boats, tube, & more!  Registration 11 AM – 1 PM.  Judging of decorated boats 1:00 - 1:30 PM.   Races - 1:30pm. Great food! Call for fees to enter.

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM   Annual celebration of our railroad heritage.  Large variety of street & stage entertainment, craft show, train rides and lots of activities for all ages.   Visit the model train show & the Brunswick Railroad and C&O Canal Museum. Lots of great homemade food.

8:30 PM - Halloween Costume Parade.  Enter your decorated pumpkin in the Decorating Contest.

1:00 PM  Opening ceremony - Square Corner Park.  

2:00 PM  Parade starts at City Park & continues to W. Potomac St. to Florida Ave. Come pay tribute & support to those who protect our country.

 

 

 

 

 

DECEMBER

 

Saturday, December 1   Santa Visits Brunswick
 
Santa will be checking to see who has been naughty or nice as he makes his annual visit to Brunswick. Co-sponsored by the Brunswick Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Companies.

 

Friday, December 7   Kids Holiday Party & Tree Lighting

6:30 PM  Tree lighting at Maryland Ave.

7:00 - 8:30 PM  - Railroad Museum, music, & crafts.  Goodies from Santa & the Lions Club

 

Saturday, December 8  Hometown Holidays

Historic Brunswick will come alive with old-fashioned decoration, live music, & caroling.  Festivities  include hayrides, marshmallow roasting, Tiny Tim’s Workshop, Scrooge’s Secret Shop, cookie decorating, visit with St. Nick, Frosty & Rudolph and much more!

 

Volunteers  are needed for all events.

Each 3-hour evening course runs 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.

 

Brunswick City Pool

Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Seasonal and 20-visit passes available.  Unique to the area, our pool features a slide for lots of fun.  For prices, call City Hall at 301-834-7500 or the pool at 301-834-7567.

 

Brunswick Skate Park

The skate park, located off 13th Ave. at the Sports Complex is a new facility with ramps & jumps for all levels of experience.  Open weather permitting.  10-visit passes available.  Call 301-834-4238 for price information.
